Adult Allergy Committee

The BSACI Adult Allergy Committee (AAC) focuses on enhancing adult allergy services, education, and research as part of its mission to improve allergy patient care. Key objectives include:

  • Allergy Services: Supporting the development of allergy networks and transitional services for adolescents, contributing to IQAS program discussions, and aiding allergists with local and national commissioning.
  • Protocol Development: Creating care pathways for adult allergy conditions, proposing topics for guidelines and SOPs, and collaborating with the British Dietetic Association on food allergy protocols.
  • Audit & Research: Providing a forum for audit and research in adult allergy.
  • Training & Education: Supporting trainee development and workforce planning, ensuring equitable access to NHS allergy services across the UK.
